Geoff Hore was a remarkable man.

He passed away 29 July 2015.

His most influential work and contribution to piping happened when he took over from Roderick Cannon the Bibliography of Bagpipe Music in the 1980s and kept in continually up-to-date. His personal library was extensive; massive, really, and included rare editions (which he was also eager to scan and share with us at Musical Materials).

He was NZ Gold Medal piobaireachd piper who had a zest and zeal for the work we are doing at the Alt Pibroch Club.
