Learning Living Pibroch is dedicated to publishing and supporting research into all aspects of pibroch: social history, ethnomusicology, text criticism, biographical history, music history.

The links and pages we provide are intended to help pibroch performers understand in depth the roots of the music they are performing, not so that they are historical dilettantes, but so that they may introduce new expression and interpretation into performance.

It is our hope that by making available this research and these secondary materials, the living tradition of pibroch comes back to the fore of musical presentation, both in casual and competitive settings.
