Bulletproof Musician – Thoughts for the New Year

At APC, we really love the insights Dr. Noa Kageyama brings. Some of them are related to practical subjects: memorization, performance preparation, technique practicing. Much of this is very close to home in the piping world, where we spend a lot of time on technique and precision.

But Dr. Kageyama also comes from a world with a broad musical palette, where professionals are performers (not just competitors) on the stage several (hundred) times a year in front of audiences; where musicians speak deeply about musicianship; where communication and passion intersect and are thought about.
