On p (ii] appears the statement that ‘This collection is limited to two hundred copies for sale, and is issued only with the Edition de Luxe of “The Pipes of War”, by Brev.-Lieut.-Col. Sir Bruce Seton, Bart., and John Grant.’

The tunes include two pibrochs by John Grant. Composers’ names are given for all tunes, and dates in many cases. Few if any of the tunes have appeared in subsequent collections.

Askew gives the number of tunes as 49, but since no other edition is known other than this one he must simply be in error.

Unicorn Limited Inc in USA offers a reproduction on CD. See www.scotpress.com.
