1979 Collection of Pipe Tunes Volume 2 by Duncan Johnstone.
1999 Collection of Pipe Tunes Volume 3 by Duncan Johnstone.
c2004 His Complete Compositions by Duncan Johnstone.
Volumes 1-3 all have a title-page that is identical to its respective cover and therefore will not be shown here. A fourth book has been published that includes all the compiler’s tunes but the writer does not have it in his collection. As soon as one is acquired the details will be included here. The compiler produced cassette tapes playing many of the tunes in the books. The writer has never seen these tapes.

- The Author’s Collection. 300mm X 210mm.
The book in the writer’s collection, which has no ISBN, is in near new condition and may well be a later edition but the only date is 1978. Included in the book is a single sheet of paper with the tune Farewell to Nigg on one side and an advertisement on the other. The advertisement is called The Piper’s Piper and gives a brief biography of Johnstone and also lists products and services available. Two items of interest are cassette tapes by Johnstone of the tunes in Vols 1 and 2.
The advertisement is not dated but it does mention that ‘…Volume III will be published later this year.’ Volume 3 is copyrighted 1999 and that is probably the same year as the advertisement.
This books was advertised in the International Piper Vol 1 No 1, May 1978, page 221 as ‘available now’. In Vol 1 No 5, September 1978, page 13 of the same publication the cassette tape was first advertised.
